My life has been very busy at my day job. I'm still cooking to death in my apartment because reasons, but the fan and frozen water bottles have been a godsend. I'm going to keep this brief as it's late/early morning depending on how you look at it... But I wanted to quickly update about what my set list is looking like so far. I have posted the songs in the order I have learned/ability.
I'm day dreaming a lot here, but for now I need to focus on really mastering all the guitar parts of those first five songs. I cited it before, but Scott's guitar lead in this live performance of If Life is so Short is really neat. I have the basics mastered, but I really want to aim to be able to play that extended guitar lead by the end of the year.
- If Life is So Short - The Moffatts / Music Travel Love
- Secret Song
- Miss You Like Crazy - The Moffatts / Music Travel Love
- Misery - The Moffatts
- I'll Be There For You - The Moffatts
- Girl of My Dreams - The Moffatts
- Downtown, Petula Clark
- Round and Round - Gil Ofarim
- Born to Be Wild - The Moffatts / Smells Like Teen Spirit - Nirvana > To be played as a medley on account that Born to Be Wild appears to sample Nirvana as some fans have pointed out in the comment section of this live 1998 performance in Spain. Scott in particular was really going ham on the fan service here, so I would have to tone that down by a lot for my own rendition. I would also have to find a clean version of Nirvana or write my own clean lyrics if I ever intend to perform the song in front of my students. I have some other ideas of how I would modify this performance.
